Chill in Tuscany

Andreas made the stay special with helpful advice about places to see, restaurants to try, and Italian culture. The common room also had a small kitchenette, drinking water, and an instant espresso machine. After moving to Florence for the rest of my trip, I really missed this place. The location was great. To be fair, anywhere inside Lucca’s walls is well placed, but the cleanliness, amenities, and host really stood out. One thing to keep in mind: unless you’re in a ground-floor room, there’s a short flight of stairs to climb. That could be difficult if you’re disabled or carrying large luggage.

We spent five days here over Easter and loved our stay. Andreas was incredibly helpful while still giving us space. The room was comfortable and looked after daily, and the fully equipped kitchen across the hall had everything we needed.

We both really enjoyed our long weekend at chill in Tuscany, where we were staying for my sister’s wedding in Lucca. The staff were friendly, and our room was tidy, clean, and comfortable. The bed was great after a day of sightseeing, and we slept well every night. Air conditioning helped when it got too hot. There was loads of wardrobe space for both our formal and casual clothes. The shower heated up quickly, had good pressure, and was roomy. I would’ve liked a full-length mirror in the room, though it wasn’t essential. Everything was within walking distance, which was handy. The stairs up to the rooms are very steep. They may be a problem for disabled or elderly guests, and for anyone with large luggage. Apart from that, we had a really good time.

Handy for Mura di Lucca parkrun, if that’s your thing. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the place was comfortable, clean, and well located. Five stars from me, highly recommended.
