Paulo took good care of us at this charming B&B, offering nice coffee, tea, and little cookies. The place was clean, with good water pressure, and very close to the town center. My partner wasn’t feeling well, so they kindly let us stay a little longer. We really appreciated it.

I’ve never felt so welcome at a place like this. The owners made us feel pampered throughout our stay. It’s right in the center of Lucca, yet quiet during the day, with pleasant restaurant sounds in the evening from behind the building. Breakfast was sugary but stellar in quality. This isn’t a hotel, and the shower leaked a little onto the bathroom floor, but the cleanliness and other great amenities, including a fridge in the room, more than made up for it. The location is great.

The courtyard is pleasant, but the umbrellas have so much green mold that I wouldn’t feel comfortable sitting underneath them. The rooms are extremely basic, and the building is old and masquerading as a hotel. There was no service or breakfast. Nobody was at the desk in the morning, and the coffee machine didn’t work. We stayed one night and met guests who had already been there three days without their room being cleaned once. I don’t understand the 4.4-star rating. I’d give less than one star if I could. Don’t stay here.
