The owners were lovely and helpful, and they even left earplugs on the nightstand since it can get noisy at night. The building is old, as you might expect when staying close to the center in Tuscany, so that comes with some noise. The little hotel is less than a five-minute walk from both the city center and train station. Our room was clean and spacious, and they left us water and a box of snacks. That was especially useful since we arrived late and couldn't find food at that hour.

The owners are so kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with. Dimora Altemura has clean, thoughtfully designed rooms in a convenient spot around the corner from the train station, with Lucca’s famous walls and center just steps away. Whenever we're in Lucca, Italy, we make a point of staying here. Do yourselves a favor and try this wonderful place if you get the chance!

Stefano and Caterina helped us make the most of Lucca, and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable, with a really Italian atmosphere. It’s near both the historic center and the train station. The street can be noisy, but the hosts left us earplugs and everything was great. Thank you, we’ll come back!

We stayed one night in Lucca and had a lovely time. We booked at the very last minute, but the host was extremely welcoming and flexible about our needs. The rooms were clean and the location was strategic. Highly recommended!

The staff were lovely and pointed us toward some great restaurants. Our room was clean and roomy, and although we booked one without a balcony, we could still use the shared terrace. We had a beautiful five-night stay in September 2023 and would happily recommend it.
