Lucca in Chic

Once we got the room with a balcony, we were really happy with our two-night stay at Lucca in Chic. It was spacious, with a firm but comfortable bed, a great bathroom, and that balcony as a bonus. The first room we were shown was smaller and smelled damp. Our host was quick to reply and helpful with local suggestions. I recommend the hotel for a short stay, but make sure you get the right room!

The host is what makes this place stand out. He welcomed us warmly and immediately shared tips on places to visit, restaurants, and more. When we asked by text which beach to choose, he spent 30 minutes writing up recommendations. Truly above and beyond, thank you Alberto!! The rooms are tidy and clean, and the bathroom is spacious with a lovely shower. It’s a 10-minute walk to the city walls. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Lucca, this is the one!

The bathroom was spacious and modern, though the shower cubicle looked old and needed new grout and sealant. That’s the reason I’ve given four stars. The room itself was lovely, airy and a good size, with clean white linen, nice furniture, and a comfortable bed. It overlooked a small private courtyard. The area was quiet, five minutes from a supermarket and 10-15 minutes from Lucca's old town, with its cafes, shops, and historic buildings. I stayed three nights, and the host was helpful, explaining practical details about the room and suggesting places to eat.

I really appreciated this one-night stay. The room was simple, clean, and quiet, with great AC, and the host was so friendly and helpful even when we arrived very late. Parking on the street right in front was easy. It was also a quick walk to the old town and to a breakfast spot the host recommended, which was super tasty. I’d definitely recommend this place!
