Our apartment, with two double beds, felt quite old-fashioned and could use some updating. Still, the staff were helpful, and they’d left us snacks and even a bottle of wine. The place is charming and looks out over the square. It’s near the top right in the picture…

We’ll remember this Valentine’s weekend for a long time and hope to return. The host was wonderful, breakfast was good, and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine as a gift. The cozy house has a magnificent view of Amphitheater Square and sits close to the main street. One odd thing, though: the toilet door is transparent.

The bed was comfortable, and breakfast included excellent products. We also appreciated the welcome bottle of wine and the lovely view of the square from this central location. The main letdown was cleanliness, especially the floors. There was no hand soap, and the thin, vintage window frames let in drafts and noise. I’d put money into improving those.

Our suite had every comfort, and there was a complimentary bottle of excellent red wine waiting for us. It’s right in the heart of Lucca, with a direct view over Piazza Anfiteatro, the most beautiful square in the whole city. A magical place. Thanks, and see you next time!

The owner was so kind and helpful, and breakfast was generous. This would work perfectly for families, too. The building has period character and lovely attention to detail, in a magnificent location. I’d come back a thousand times.
