We spent six nights in this apartment and will definitely come back. It's right in the centre of Lucca, with an easy walk to all the sights, and the owners were lovely to deal with. The apartment is fully self-contained, with a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, lift, and air conditioning, which is essential in summer. The rates are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

The couple who run the apartments were very nice, and their replies to emails and questions while we were booking were excellent. The location is perfect for Lucca and hard to beat without paying a fortune. There's a lift for luggage and for anyone who doesn't like stairs. The apartment has everything you need, including a washing machine and detergent. The bed is very comfortable, and the air conditioning works really well. A few little things kept it from being a five-star stay, or at least a 4.5. The Wi-Fi was very poor, nearly unusable. It wasn't a huge problem for us because we used our phone connection, though I think Wi-Fi is generally weak in Lucca. The shower gel and shampoo were half empty, so I assume they were left by previous guests. There was no hand towel rail, just a small fixture on the wall where one may have been. The outdoor area was nice for lunch, but needed sweeping and washing. The outside table and chairs were clean. These small touches could make it a great apartment.
