The old town of Lucca is only a few minutes away by bike or car, and there's free parking near the center. We also found a bakery within walking distance. The apartment itself was lovely and well equipped, with a big, tidy garden among the olive trees and a fantastic private pool. It's on the first floor, and parking is on the property behind an electric gate. We had a relaxing week, thank you.

We left after dark and asked Booking.com to take the listing down. The rooms smelled damp and had mold, which we felt could be a health risk. The place is right beside the highway, so sleeping with the window open would be difficult for most people. In our view, at least one of the positive reviews was written by the local manager.

The setting was very quiet, with a bakery and trattoria you can reach on foot. The center and other amenities are about a five-minute drive away. Our first-floor apartment had a private garden and plenty of comforts, plus a pool with a swing for kids. There was also an outdoor seating area and a gazebo with a table, chairs, and barbecue.

It's between two highways, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. The rooms are full of mold, and the amenities listed in the description aren't there.
