Agriturismo Nonni Devia

We had an extraordinary stay, with nothing to complain about. This agriturismo is just right if you need a break and want to lose track of time. If more than five stars were possible, I’d give them. Thank you, and good luck with everything. You deserve it!

After giving it some time to think, I wanted to share our stay and mention a few things I feel could be better. We found the property by chance after seeing the glowing reviews. The owners clearly care a lot about their project and put real passion into it, which I appreciated. The village is very quiet and almost uninhabited. That can be charming, though it also made the place feel a little isolated. The property itself isn't the farmhouse surrounded by greenery I had pictured. There is a small garden at the back where you can sit, but not much outdoor space. Our room was clean, but it was below street level and felt damp throughout our stay. We were told on arrival that the floor was wet because it had just been cleaned, but the humidity and condensation continued, and the air felt unpleasant at night. It seemed like a structural issue. Dinner started with a tasting of the owners' olive oil. It was interesting and showed the owner's passion, but while he was presenting it, his wife kept interrupting to tell him not to turn his back on the other guests and reminding him how to behave. That got a bit annoying, especially since he was calm and polite. I also didn't find tasting raw oil before the meal very appetizing, and felt some pressure from the owner not to leave food on my plate. I'd rather enjoy dinner in peace. The homemade ravioli were the dinner highlight in theory, but I found them bland and tasteless. The suggestion to add more oil after the tasting didn't appeal to me. Dessert was an original olive mousse, though it was made with olive oil too. I do appreciate how committed and passionate the owners are, particularly about making olive oil. This place may suit people who are really into olive mills and want an olive oil focused experience, but I think the overall stay could be improved.

The owners made us feel so welcome and gave their guests plenty of time. The food was delicious, and you can tell it's made with care and passion. I especially enjoyed learning about olive oil and noticing the dedication in all the little details. For what you get, it almost feels too inexpensive. A genuinely warm place with lots of flavor and heart. Five stars are well deserved!

At Agriturismo Nonni Devia, lunch was full of genuine, flavorful dishes prepared with care. The family atmosphere, warm welcome, and love for local traditions came through in every course. Before we ate, we got to try several olive oils from the Armato Farm in a guided tasting. It was both enjoyable and a great way to learn how to recognize good extra virgin olive oil. A lovely experience alongside a meal I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for more than just good food.
