We picked this hotel because it advertised electric chargers, but none of them worked. The receptionist knew two were out of order and there was no notice, so we lost a day of our holiday searching for a charger instead of enjoying the pool. No apology either. Flies were all over the food, and both of us had upset stomachs for two days while we ate at the hotel. Once we stopped eating there, we were fine. They couldn't even pour a drink properly.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. The Italian food was very good too. What stood out was the kind staff and the transfer to Luino, which is included in the daily rate. I highly recommend it.

The train passing nearby was the only downside. Everything else was great, from the pool and a few parking spots on the grounds to my room, which was spotless and tastefully decorated with a small lake view. I hadn't asked for an upgrade, but they gave me one. There was everything I could want in the room: TV, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, safe, power outlets, heating and air conditioning, and a smoke detector. It was a short stay, but I'd easily recommend the hotel.

Breakfast had a generous selection, including juices, coffee, fruit, cold cuts, eggs, bread, cakes and cookies, all laid out nicely. The rooms were well equipped with high quality fittings, though the sound insulation between them was disappointing. It's a well-run, typical North Italian Albergo set in spacious, well-kept gardens. At around 100 Euro for a double room with breakfast, the price seemed reasonable.

The owner family made our stay, they were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even booked restaurants for us and drove us there in the hotel car. The hotel is in a wonderful spot, and the rooms were in very good condition. The air conditioning worked well, the bathroom was modern and spacious, and breakfast was good.
