Locanda del Silenzio

After hours on the trails, coming back for a swim in the new pool, coffee and ice cream, then a relaxed dinner was just lovely. Locanda del Silenzio made a wonderful base for our walks in the Valle Maira. Francesco even picked us up at the bus stop, and his father Gigi, who put up signs for many of the local walks himself, gave us great advice on which routes to take. We had half-board and ate five dinners there, all different, original, and super tasty. We could also order packed lunches to take along. A magical place.

Such a special atmosphere up on the mountainside. The rooms are really well equipped, with kitchen facilities, and the family rooms are lovely too. Great food and staff who were attentive and always smiling. We'll be back.

The scenery is breathtaking, and it's a great spot if you're here to hike. The rooms have a lovely feel and are practical too. The young host was really friendly, and both dinner and breakfast were great. A very authentic place.

Only one of the four meals was great. The others were just okay or left us unsatisfied, so the food quality felt pretty inconsistent. We also seemed to get the oldest room in the place, even though we paid the same as guests in the newly renovated rooms.
