I booked through Booking.com for December 23 to January 9. The terms there said I could cancel for free and pay by December 13, but I never got a receipt. When I called the property manager, they said the house was available and that I could book directly if I wanted, so I agreed. Then they asked me for a €300 deposit. When I objected, they said they had new requests and could just leave me without a booking, rather than honor the conditions listed on Booking.com. They'd first asked me to go around Booking.com, then offered worse and different terms. I don't consider that serious management. Kudos to their professionalism.

A lovely little corner of paradise. The apartment is new, comfortable, and clean, with an outdoor space. It's peaceful and close to the river. The woman who runs it is wonderful, polite and respectful, never intrusive, and always available. Night photo
