At €170 a night, I found the place overpriced, despite its central spot in the village. My room was large and had a coffee maker and kettle, plus assorted single-serve jams, but there wasn't even a table to set things on. The bathroom was roomy, though the faucet kept working loose and the shower only gave boiling water that couldn't be adjusted. The worst part was how little help there was. We got no checkout instructions and no reply after calling and texting the number posted on the door. Between rooms the walls were so thin you could hear the TV, neighbors talking, and people in the hall or on the stairs. I've never had a worse stay.

I wouldn't go back. The room was unsafe to move around in after dark because the uneven landing had no light. The bed for three looked hastily put together, the mats were dirty, and I had to clean the bathroom myself. There were old crumbs on the breakfast tray and past guests' receipts left on the bedside tables. I can't believe places like this are still operating.

The old-fashioned feel, especially the beautiful wooden floor, made a nice impression, and the place was very clean. I stayed for work on two weekends, only briefly each time, but was very happy there. The staff were friendly and well organized. My room had everything I needed, including a coffee maker, kettle, and several herbal teas. I recommend it.

The bathrooms looked freshly redone and were spotless, and the rooms were really clean too. We had coffee and a range of teas and herbal teas available. The center of Madesimo is right nearby, so the location worked perfectly for us. My girlfriend and I chose the place for a romantic weekend. We loved how the interior mixed old and modern touches, especially the antique wood floors. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!
