Agriturismo La Fontaccia

Sam is a special host, and everything about the stay deserves five stars. The rooms and apartments are lovely, well furnished, and clean. The location has a classic Tuscan feel, and both pools fit the setting well and are well maintained. There are two barbecues too, ideal for making a great steak bought in a nearby town.

Waking up each morning to the beautiful view at La Fontaccia was a pleasure. The place is surrounded by nature, with a large area of grounds and an olive grove that's great if you're bringing dogs. The pool was perfect for relaxing. We stayed four nights, and Sam, the owner, was kind and ready to help with any request. We can't wait to come back.

Sam, a young man who made us feel at home straight away, showed us the stables with the horses and the lovely cows, which roam freely in designated areas with their wonderful calves. The agriturismo is beautiful, clean, and special. Pets are welcome, and it's open all year. There are two pools in the large garden. I prefer the smaller one, with its fabulous view of Montiano, though the main pool is lovely too. It's an ideal place for children, teenagers, and anyone looking to relax. Breakfast was excellent, with delicious fresh-baked pastries. It's also a perfect venue for receptions, weddings, and parties, with different spaces available to protect guests from COVID-19.

The apartment was new, tastefully furnished, and really comfortable, and the family running the place made us feel at home. We spent a wonderful week at La Fontaccia, tucked among hills and olive groves. It feels secluded, though plenty of tourist attractions are convenient to reach.
