Hotel La Pergola

Breakfast had lots of cakes to choose from 😋, and the rooms were nice and super clean, with good quality amenities. The restaurant’s wood fired grill and big meat selection were a highlight. Some wines are really expensive, though they’re very good. Service was good and professional. Bravo!

Our waiter Osman was amazing, and the service had that friendly, welcoming feel of an Italian gastronomie. The steaks were tender and juicy, and if you like lamb, it’s worth trying since it’s typical Latin food. La Pergola specializes in regional food, Latin food, and steaks. It’s a proper steak house, about 1 km from the highway and easy to reach. This is a restaurant rather than a trattoria, so the food is top quality but portions are more standard sized. That still makes sense to me given the quality. I’ll come back, especially since I drive an electric car and there’s a Tesla supercharger in the restaurant parking lot. I gave the room rating four stars only because I had lunch at the restaurant and never slept there.

The restaurant was the standout for us: fair prices for an amazing Agnello allo Scottadito and Argentinian Angus. We were here for two nights while travelling to a nearby wedding. The hotel has lovely countryside views and a great atmosphere, though getting there without a car is definitely difficult. Staff can arrange a taxi pick-up if you ask. The rooms are old, but were reasonably clean and well cared for. Staff were helpful. I did think the prices were a bit high for the room quality.
