The garden is beautifully cared for, and it’s a peaceful place to sit and read. Inside, the rooms are spacious and spotless, and the owners are kind, attentive, and happy to help with what you need. Magreglio itself is a quiet village with a pleasant cool climate, about 60 km from Milan. You can get around by train on Ferrovie Nord to Canzo or by Autoguidovie buses to Magreglio and Bellagio. It’s also well placed for Monte San Primo, Bellagio, and Canzo. We had a wonderful welcome and I highly recommend it.

We’re definitely coming back. The prices felt very fair for the comfort, and the owners were warm and welcoming while still giving us plenty of privacy. The apartments are tastefully furnished and well looked after, with immaculate rooms, bathrooms, sheets, and towels. La Menaresta is in Magreglio, in the middle of the Larian Triangle and a few kilometers from Bellagio. It’s easy to reach, with public street parking right by the entrance. At 750 meters above sea level, it makes a peaceful place for a holiday or weekend among nature, and a handy starting point for seeing Lake Como.

The host was so friendly and accommodating, and we got an incredible welcome. Our apartment was roomy, comfortable, and clean, about 15-20 minutes from Bellagio. Highly recommend!
