Hotel Bellavista

Great place for bikers.

We came for the peace and quiet and would happily return for it. The hotel is historic and sits just outside Maierà, though all those winding turns make it a bit awkward to reach. Once there, the room and breakfast terrace have wonderful views. The rooms are comfortable, if a little dated, and perfectly adequate when most of your time is spent at the beach or out exploring. Service from Giancarlo and his wife was impeccable, and they're wonderful people. Breakfast is basic: homemade cakes, warm croissants, and the usual other things. There are also lots of historic places nearby and good hiking.

The food deserves special praise: excellent ingredients and traditional dishes. The hotel looks out over an unforgettable landscape, with breathtaking views. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and the owners are attentive and present. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Dinner on the terrace with that view was a real highlight, and the food was delicious, authentic, and traditional. We booked half-board, and Mr. Gianfranco welcomed us along with his wife. They’re wonderful hosts and great entertainers. The staff were always kind and available, too. The rooms feel welcoming, and the hotel has a breathtaking view. They make many products themselves and sell them at the Casa Maierà shop. We stocked up to take some home, they were excellent. Definitely worth another visit. See you soon!
