The booking details say parking is free, and that’s only true if they have space for your car. Otherwise, you get a 30$ parking ticket from the local police.

The rooms are right in the heart of Maiori, with great access to all the restaurants and shops you could want.

Once you reach the rooms, the quality of the property really comes through, even though the entrance is a little unassuming. The B&B Relais San Giacomo is on the third floor of a period building with an elevator, right in the heart of Maiori, and the sea views are spectacular. Giusy, Angelo, and Luigi were excellent hosts. Highly recommended.

The room was clean and tidy, and the daily cleaning was excellent and very friendly. The location is fantastic, right on the Corso and as close to the beach as you can get. But there’s quite a bit to be aware of. This “bed and breakfast” is on the third floor of an apartment building, while check-in and checkout happen at Hotel San Francesco, a 7-minute walk away. A friendly employee will escort you to the room and pick you up again if you ask. The entrance downstairs is somewhat dirty, with cigarette butts and a strong oil smell, and the elevator has seen better days. At night the room is quite noisy because it’s right on the busy Corso. From 8:00 a.m., the shop across the street plays the same song on repeat. The air conditioning was loud and only cooled the room somewhat. The Wi-Fi stopped working properly after the second day and wasn’t fixed, even though I mentioned it several times. It would also have been nice to have a few glasses in the room. I thought there would be a balcony, but it was only a narrow French balcony with no seating, not a place to relax. I’d book directly at Hotel San Francesco next time. It made a good impression, and the staff were very friendly.
