The rooms are beautiful and spacious, almost like sleeping in a museum, and our bedding was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful. Coffee is included if you ask, but there's no milk, so you'll need to keep your own in the room fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful, and towels were changed daily. We loved our stay, despite the negative reviews. Our room was number 8, and I'd suggest getting a sea view. The place is central and close to the beach without being noisy. Definitely recommend.

This is a basic B&B, with no shower, a simple breakfast buffet, Italian TV only, and usually nobody at reception. But if you want a square-box hotel room with all the modern conveniences, this isn't for you. If you like imagining how high society spent its holidays on this coast in the 1920s and enjoy faded grandeur, go ahead. It's on the top floor of a former grand palazzo. The rooms are huge, with high ceilings and balconies, and we could even glimpse the sea. The old furniture is an eclectic mix. Our beds were comfortable, and we had an en suite.

We couldn't sleep all night because there was a noise in our room every 15 seconds. The reception said it was the pipes and they couldn't do anything about it. The room had a really bad musty smell, and the breakfast was horrible. We paid extra for a sea-facing room, but could literally see only about 5 percent of the sea from it. We were asked to change rooms and accidentally left a few things in the fridge. When we asked for them that evening, reception said nothing could be done because someone else had already taken the room. A horrible experience.

I booked for a week and it was a terrible experience. The bed and sofa were full of bed bugs, the room was a mess, and the sheets were dirty. They didn't clean the room. I couldn't bring myself to eat breakfast after accidentally seeing how dirty the kitchen was. The internet says it's 3-4 stars, which is a big lie. Don't waste your money, stay away! When I arrived, I thought I'd got the wrong place. The entrance downstairs was full of rubbish and there was no reception. There are apartments for some people, and you have to take the stairs up two floors to get to Casa raffaele.
