Hotel Villa Pandora

We loved our time at Hotel Villa Pandora. The spacious, clean rooms had beautiful sea views, and the food was delicious. The shuttle to the main town was very convenient. Staff went out of their way to make our stay special, and communication with the receptionist was great and timely. I'd recommend Hotel Villa Pandora to anyone.

The sea views were beautiful, and the location made our stay worthwhile. Hotel Villa Pandora is right on the ocean, outside the main town of Maiori, so the shuttle was handy for trips into town several times a day. Maiori itself is lovely and more laid-back than the bigger Amalfi Coast towns. We had a balcony with a gorgeous ocean view. The junior deluxe suite had a spacious bathroom and shower, but the room felt too small for its king bed. A queen would have left more space. The mattress was extremely firm and the pillows very flat, so we didn't sleep comfortably. The restaurant and breakfast area had a lovely sea view, and the complimentary breakfast was well stocked with good options. The rooftop pool was relaxing, with a wonderful view. Dinner service was nice, although there weren't many vegetarian choices. All the staff we met were kind, attentive, and personable. Thank you, Roberta, Leo, Mario, David, and everyone else.

The views were excellent, and I liked the room's furniture and decor, as well as the mosquito nets. Staff were helpful and friendly, the pool area was nice, and breakfast was decent. Restaurant food was very good, especially the dessert called Amara or something like that. There were some maintenance and noise issues: loose towel hooks, water collecting on the shower floor, and road noise with buses beeping as they passed. Walking into town is tricky because there's no pavement along the road, though a free car to Maiori town runs every hour. Some breakfast rolls seemed to be leftovers from the day before, and a few pastries and desserts weren't fresh either. Restaurant prices were a bit high: the fish fillet was 25 euros with no sides, and I think potatoes, for example, should be included to make that price feel justified. There's no kettle in the room. In August, I paid about £250 a night for a sea-view room, and parking was 20 euros per day. Would I stay again? Yes, if they improve some of these things.

We booked the Aphrodite suite for our honeymoon. It's a nice room in a beautiful hotel, with a really nice pool, good cocktails, and helpful staff. The food was better on some days than others, but pretty good overall. The jacuzzi was broken, so we couldn't use it. Since we paid extra for a room with a jacuzzi, that was disappointing. They couldn't refund any money and offered only a “chefs menu” dinner instead. One of its dishes was also on the regular dinner menu, and we'd already eaten it the day before. If you book that room, be warned that the jacuzzi may or may not work.
