Casa Gabriele

It's a simple, clean and comfortable place with a homely feel. My single room didn't have a balcony, unlike some of the others, but the view of the lake and Malcesine castle was amazing. I liked the outdoor space, and the drinks were very reasonably priced. There's parking under a kiwi tree, and Cristian's kiwi jam at breakfast was tasty. Cristian lives at the B&B and was extremely helpful. It takes about 10 minutes to walk along the waterfront to the centre, past a small beach, and the path continues the other way too. Just below the B&B there's a lakeside pizzeria and bar. The place is named for the owner's grandfather, who first opened it. I had a really good stay and would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

For a couple of nights in Malcesine, Cristian’s B&B was a great choice. Breakfast each day was good, the room was extremely clean and tidy, and I could get my washing done there for a small fee. The balcony looked beautifully out over the water. It's also great value and easy to reach the main town in five minutes on foot, with the lakeside beach just across the road. I highly recommend it.

Our top-floor family room had wonderful, uninterrupted views of the castle and lake, and the bathroom and facilities were good. Everything stayed exceptionally clean throughout, and the owner was very sweet, friendly and always ready to help. It's about a 10-minute walk into town, which was a nice way to walk off all the food. We didn't eat or drink here, though the menu prices looked very good. We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Gabriele.

The owner is super friendly and helpful, and makes his own limoncello that's worth trying. The B&B is lovely, and the rooms are very clean.
