Casa Guarnati

The pool was a good size and clean, with plenty of access to loungers and room to relax around it. We stayed one week in room 3 and had a phenomenal view. Facilities were good and the price was low for the length of our stay. The location worked well for day trips and exploring town, a five-minute walk from the centre of Malcesine and two minutes from the bus station. Beautiful location and excellent staff.

Angelo made us feel very welcome and was friendly throughout. It's a perfect base for exploring Lake Garda and the mountains, and our one-year-old was happy and content here. We'd love to stay again.

We were left dissatisfied with Casa Guaranti. The street noise was constant, day and night, and made it hard to relax or sleep. The air conditioning struggled in the warm weather, leaving the room uncomfortably hot, and adjusting it hardly helped. There were extra charges for towels, 30 EUR, and a child’s crib, 35 EUR. I felt basic things like these should have been included in the room rate. The cleaning fee of 50 euros was already included too, yet at checkout the owner blamed us for not cleaning. My friends and I had tidied the room ourselves, sweeping the floors, washing the dishes and taking out the trash. It was disappointing to pay for a service we had essentially done ourselves. These issues, along with the noise and ineffective cooling, made the stay fall short of what I'd expected.

From Casa Guarnati we could easily get around without driving: the old town is 200m away, the cable car to Monte Baldo is 300m downhill, and ferries and buses are easy to use. There's also a local shop next to the parking garage selling delicious wine, meats, cheeses, olives and more. Our corner apartment in Home A Nr. 3 had amazing views of the castle, sunset over the lake, pool and nearby mountains. It was clean, spacious, adorable and had all the kitchen amenities we needed. Our four-person family had a fabulous stay at the beginning of September. The kind, wonderful hosts shared some delicious olive oil with us. The kids had fun with the pool, playground and toys in the play room; we used the garage below for our car and the locked bike storage room for our bikes. A perfect place to relax and explore Malcesine. Thank you for all the lovely memories!
