Dependance Alpino

Breakfast had lots of choice and was really good, and we found the staff helpful and friendly all the way from reception to the restaurant. We stayed a week and loved Malcesine; the location was perfect. Our room was basic, very clean, and a little cramped, with a tiny shower cubicle. The balcony had a great view, though the noisy air conditioning unit and pipes were sitting on the floor beside the table. There also seemed to be a leaking pipe with a towel wrapped around it. The decor and furniture could use some care. We ate in the restaurant twice. The food was okay, nothing special, and both times we were seated in the back room, which lacked atmosphere, even though we’d reserved a table in the front. We preferred eating out in Malcesine, where there were more interesting options.

We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we went twice during our week-long holiday. The staff were exceptional, and the food was delicious and well priced. The steak was especially good value and cooked just right. I’m not usually into pasta, but my husband’s was so good on our first visit that I ordered it the second time. We’re looking forward to coming back on our next holiday.

We’ve eaten here every day of this trip, and the service has been amazing and friendly. They welcomed us with complimentary pizza bread, and even offered a free drink when we paid. All the staff are lovely. The food is great too: tasty pizza, pasta, and seafood, and we tried a few desserts that were just as good. Definitely recommend it!

We came here twice during our trip to Malcesine. The staff were very quick the first time, but on our second visit they were a little slow and we felt somewhat ignored. The food was really good, though. I had carpaccio to start, then tried both a steak and a really good shrimp pasta. There was a big selection of main courses. I’d definitely recommend the place.
