The beds suited me because they weren’t too soft, and the room and bathroom were cleaned every day. The hosts were lovely, and the place is good value, with clean rooms and bathrooms. It sits in a fairly industrial area, with a large power plant visible from the street and the windows, but there’s also wild greenery around and lots of birds singing. Breakfast is simple and homey, usually eggs, some cheese, toast, jam, and homemade cakes, with tea or coffee included. We only got a small serving of fresh fruit, pineapple and strawberries, and I would’ve liked some vegetables. It’s nothing fancy, but enough to get you going in the morning. There’s a nice trattoria downstairs for lunch or dinner, and I’d recommend the osteria about five minutes away. Check their opening hours first, since they’re not open all day. There’s Wi-Fi in the building and a TV in the room, though I didn’t use it. If you’re not driving, the Fusina ferry port for Venice is 1.5 km away on foot along the roadside. That walk can be rough in the rain, I caught a cold doing it 😅. The last ferry back from Venice is at 7:30PM, so seeing the city at night is difficult 😅. During the April 2022 roadworks there was no bus to the nearest city. We didn’t want to risk missing our flight, so we took a taxi to Treviso airport, which cost more than our flight tickets 😅. Ask your host lady and she can call a taxi for the time you need. The taxi company also has English speakers on the phone if you don’t speak Italian. Warm water in the bathroom is available between 6:00-10:00AM, 01:00-02:00PM and 05:00-12:00PM. It’d also be nice if they provided regular hand soap along with the shampoo and shower gel.
