Good evening. We spent a week there in July 2025 in a ground-floor apartment. It was damp and seemed to lack routine maintenance. The washing machine was broken and flooded the apartment. In the bathroom, the walls were peeling and the ceiling was only a foot high. We don’t recommend it.

After the first night, we moved to the kitchen sofa bed because the bedroom mattresses had an unacceptable cigarette smell. There were other problems too: the bathroom door was faulty and could leave you stuck inside, there was no spare tablecloth, and the curtains weren’t truly blackout. The apartment was in otherwise acceptable condition, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I stayed a few nights in the penthouse during high season. It was clean and nice, with reasonable prices, and makes a convenient base for visiting the Vigezzo Valley. There are quite a few stairs to reach it, and they aren’t especially wide. There’s no elevator or reserved parking. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend the penthouse to families with infants or guests with disabilities.

The owner was very kind and helpful, and the price was competitive. The apartment was spacious, clean, fresh, and had all the comforts. It’s only minutes from Malesco Santa Maria Maggiore and the Piana Val Vigezzo cable car. Very good value for money.

The bathroom really isn’t acceptable, even though the apartment itself is okay. The location isn’t ideal either, with the window facing straight onto the street. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone over 1.70 meters tall.
