Pension Ortlerblick

The rooms were nicely furnished and spacious, and there was a pool and sauna. My family, the Klug family, and I stayed from February 14th to 21st, 2026, and I was blown away by the value for money. We had breakfast and dinner every day, each a three-course meal. The starter was always a superb soup that put a smile on our faces. The main course was a highlight every time, and absolutely delicious. Mark is a great cook, we really enjoyed everything you made. Dessert was always tasty and went perfectly with the dishes before it. I ate better during those seven days than at any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Mark and Oscar looked after us like we were part of their family. That kind of care is unfortunately rare these days, but we found it with you, and I felt very comfortable there. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation.

Our cozy, comfortable apartment came with half-board, and we highly recommend it. This owner-operated guesthouse is so welcoming that you immediately feel at home. It sits in a stunning landscape, with plenty to do and great hiking trails. We’ll be back!

My friend and I stayed for one night to recharge before heading on to Schluderns for the medieval games. The owners were incredibly kind, and they even let me park my large car, a long-wheelbase Renault Trafic, right up against the house. Otherwise that behemoth would have blocked everything! 🤣 Breakfast was plentiful, with everything you could wish for. The “little Nutella” was fantastic, enough to last the next two years! 😁 There’s a swimming pool too, though we were caught up in all the medieval excitement and didn’t use it. We feel completely at ease at the Ortlerblick in Mals, and have returned every year for many years. The warm, welcoming Lechthaler family, excellent half-board meals, and lovely accommodations with breathtaking views of the Ortler mountain make each visit special. We look forward to coming back to the Vinschgau Valley every time. It’s a place to return to and feel good again and again.
