We used this as a base for exploring the wine country nearby, and the short walk into town was handy. The outdoor spaces were lovely for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine later on. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hosts were wonderful, with tasty restaurant tips and help arranging winery visits. We liked it enough to extend our stay.

Alessandro’s B&B is a great place to stay if you’re visiting the Orgosolo / Mamoiada area for the murals or a wine tour. It’s really clean and pleasant, and there’s a small breakfast included. Ask about the local traditions and maschere while you’re there. For the story of the Mamuthones, the local museum is the place to go.

We slept really well, even with our toddler doing their best to keep us up. The room was spotless, and the bathroom was large and comfortable. AbbaNive is basically a big apartment with just a few rooms, plus a roomy shared area and kitchen. We stayed one night after visiting Mamoiada’s wineries, and it suited us perfectly. Alessandro had also put bottles of water in the fridge for us, a small thing that we appreciated a lot.
