Antica Locanda Lunetta

This was our favorite place on our Sardinia trip, such a calming, almost magical stay. The owners care for it with real warmth, and it feels like more than a business. As Barbara put it, it's a project that connects people with the old way of life.

We loved every moment here and would absolutely return. The property was beautiful, and the hospitality was so warm and generous. We had a great time.

We spent each evening reading and relaxing in the cozy garden after exploring the lovely town of Mandas during the day. The little touches here made the stay special, and breakfast was wonderful, especially the best cappuccinos in town. Barbara and Agostino made us feel right at home and gave us great recommendations. We ate some of the best meals we've had in Italy. Since we didn't have a car, Barbara even drove us to the train. Such thoughtful hosts. We absolutely loved our stay and will be back.

Mandas is small but unspoilt, and there are little finds like Osteria La Forchetta, which is an absolute must. We followed nearly all of Agostino's suggestions, and every one was superb. The area and Antica Locanda Lunetta were easily our favorite part of a week spent in different places around the island. We could have stayed a week here and will almost certainly come back. Agostino and his family have made a real paradise. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and relaxed. The courtyard is lovely at any time of day, and the freshly prepared breakfast leaves you wanting nothing. Our room, with its own herb garden and terrace, was stunning: clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and quiet, effective air conditioning. If you want a relaxing, authentic Sardinian stay that you'll remember, this is the place. Thank you, Agostino!
