B&B Il Melograno da Maria Màndas

My husband and I were lucky to meet Mrs. Maria and her husband during our stay at B&B Il Melograno in Mandas. They deserve an 11 or 12 out of 10. They're two fantastic people with Sardinian hearts. The B&B is close to all the amenities, including the train station, so we could take the green train from Mandas to Seui. The line would continue to Arbatax if the bridge, which I believe is being renovated, allowed it. It was an interesting day in the authentic heart of inland Sardinia. Mrs. Maria kindly pampered us with all sorts of excellent homemade Sardinian sweets. I asked for a recipe, and she gave it to me, so I'll be making it soon! Her husband's hospitality was just as lovely. We sat in the garden chatting and laughing, sharing excellent Sardinian wine and sweets with other foreign tourists and our hosts. The room and bathrooms were comfortable and clean, and parking was excellent. The internet worked well enough for me to book online and print train tickets, which is the only way to buy them. It was excellent value. My husband and I traveled about 2,000 km by car around Sardinia and part of the inland area, visiting beaches, cities, historic centers, towns, and Nuragic villages. As the days go by, I keep telling family and friends about the holiday, including the lovely B&B owners and the stunning views from the little green train, especially great Flumendosa lake.
