I barely saw anyone the whole week. Check-in was self-service with a door code, and I only wish I’d tried the restaurant because the menu looked good. The room was great, with everything I needed and even a small kitchen if I wanted to cook. It was so quiet in the evenings, and I slept better here than I have on any other business trip. I got around by train and bus, and there are lots of places to park in Mandello if you have a car. I’ve stayed in Lecco for work before, but this is my hotel of choice now. And yes, I could see the lake from my window! There’s also a nice walk to a waterfall if you’re up for it.

The room was on the small side, but had all the equipment I needed. Self check-in was easy, and the location is great, close to both the station and the lake. I’d definitely recommend it. Downstairs, the restaurant deserves the highest rating. The food was delicious, the wine was great, and the service was lovely. Elisabetta was so helpful and cheerful, and really knows how to look after customers. Thank you for the birthday surprise. I’m still emotional about it! 🥰

We were in Mandello del Lario for a few days and ended up coming back here three times. The food was amazing, the service was great, and they do delicious lunches, dinners and coffee. I appreciated that gluten-free pasta was available.

The price was a pleasant surprise for this level of food and attention: about 20-25 per person with drinks, without a bottle of wine. The staff speak English so naturally that you can ask them almost anything, and they keep an eye on the table throughout the meal. Bottle service was great too. The food felt lovingly prepared, warm, and made with fresh ingredients without extra seasoning. The meat tasted out of this world. There’s plenty of wine to choose from, depending on what you like. A beautiful place to stay. I hope we get to come back and try other things.
