We'd happily stay here again. The people running the place were among the kindest we met in Italy, and looked after all of us like family, making sure our needs were taken care of. It's also a handy base for many beautiful towns in Abruzzo, national parks, hikes, and vineyards.

I've been here twice already and am sure I'll visit again. The owners are so friendly and open that you feel like part of the family, and the kitchen serves terrific real Italian food. The residence sits on a hill near Manopello town center, with clean, spacious rooms and pleasant mountain views. Some rooms also have a kitchen and fireplace. The area is great for hiking in a nearby national park, with views across the region and even out to the Adriatic Sea. It's also a great place to stay if you're visiting Volto Santo.

Ida and Luciano have made a lovely place in a quiet, out-of-the-way part of Abruzzo. The views of snowy mountains and hilltop towns are stunning. They made us feel very welcome despite the language barrier, and Ida and Luciano's homemade breakfast was wonderful. There's a lovely pool too, for when it's warm enough to use.

The pool among the olive trees is a relaxing spot, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. Breakfast is generous and varied, with Mrs. Ida looking after guests in a friendly, helpful way. This family-run farmhouse is well placed for a short walk to a Roman villa in a private area and to a beautiful 13th-century Cistercian abbey. Sadly, the parish priest doesn't open the gardens to the public. The one downside was the faulty WiFi. Good value.
