The buffet breakfast had plenty to choose from, including fresh fruit, cereals, juices, croissants, pastries, bread, and Mantovian specialities. The bathroom and shower were clean down to the details, toiletries were replenished daily, and there was ample hot water. My room faced the street, so traffic was audible with the window open. Closing it and turning on the a.c. made the room peaceful. Albergo Bianchi Stazione sits right across from the train station, making it handy for visiting the small towns around Mantova by train. Buses are an option too, with the bus station a short walk away. It's outside the historic centre. The rooms are spotless and well kept, with a.c. and television, though the channels are Italian only.

It reminded me of the old-style family-run Italian hotels I went to as a child. The place is clean and decent, and well positioned for seeing Mantua. Breakfast offers a good range of basic items, and the staff are very kind and helpful.

I booked a night because I couldn't find anywhere else. The receptionist was extremely rude and racist. After giving me the keys, he said I had to leave by 9am or I'd be charged for another day. At exactly 9am he was waiting at reception to check whether I was leaving. It was extremely rude, and the whole thing was a very bad experience. I'll never go back. The hotel should teach its staff how to treat customers.
