Mantua Hostal

There's a pleasant terrace, the Wi-Fi works well, and it's right in the city center. The staff are kind, the rooms spacious, and the toilet clean.

Very clean, nice people, and an excellent location. It was easy to find for a town like this. I'd recommend staying here for a day or two. Okay!

The manager is a really nice, kind guy, and he was very helpful with everything I needed while in town for work. Rooms are spacious and clean, prices are fair, and the location is very central. I'd add a fifth star if they put in more air conditioning. July in Mantua is objectively scorching.

Two days later the owner apologized and offered to cover only part of what I'd spent on a hotel. On the night of April 27/28, 2019, my friend and I arrived in Mantua in the evening after booking by SMS, but there was nobody at reception and the owner wouldn't answer. We were left out on the street, at risk of spending the night there, and with few accommodation options in Mantua we had to find a hotel. The next day, none of the phone numbers answered either. It's a terrible situation to have a reservation and then discover you have nowhere to stay. This has never happened to me on all my travels. I booked, arrived, and found nobody. The owner didn't refund all the expenses. Be careful, this place is unreliable.
