Everything’s new and very clean. If peace and quiet are what you’re after, this is the place. Breakfast is generous, with fresh traditional pastries from the area.

Annamaria was really kind and helpful. We stayed with her twice for two nights each time, and both times the room she gave us was just right, clean, and comfortable. I’m especially grateful she let us leave our car with her while we set off by bike along the Ciclovia dei Parchi. When we came back, her welcome meant a lot. I recommend this B&B. Thanks again.

The apartments were comfortable, well equipped, and very clean, and the view was beautiful. We stayed a few days, and Annamaria was helpful, suggesting beaches and things to do around Maratea. The location takes a little getting used to because the streets are narrow, though the beaches and port are no more than 15 minutes away by car. We had one technical problem with the accommodation: the shower leaked a bit, and there was a sewer smell in the evening. I think it was just a coincidence. The place, including the outdoor areas, was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was the one thing that stopped me giving a higher rating. There’s a shared kitchen and some homemade food, but most things were packaged and there wasn’t much to choose from. For example, my husband and I got one croissant, or one peach or pear juice, two marmalades, one each, and a pack of toast to share. Water was only provided on arrival, half a bottle, so after that you had to buy it or go without at breakfast. I expected more from a B&B, especially after reading the reviews. For a short getaway where breakfast is simple, or you’re mainly just staying overnight, it’s acceptable. A reply to the owner: I’m sorry you took my review so badly, ma’am. I did say that the rooms were clean and impeccable. The leaking shower wasn’t a major problem, and I mentioned the smell as an incident, not as a result of poor cleaning. In fact, I said the opposite. As for breakfast, everything was certainly clean. I love breakfast, so I’d expected something different and more plentiful. Sorry, but I didn’t find all the variety you described. I honestly don’t know why we weren’t given water. I don’t think I paid less than the other guests, but it wasn’t a problem since I bought some at the supermarket. I praised your helpfulness and kindness, but after reading that unprofessional reply, I’m sorry to say I’ve changed my mind. Reviews and criticism can also help a place improve where needed.
