Riccardo, the owner, was so welcoming and available. He shared loads of information and little tips about Maratea and the surrounding area, and his suggestions led us to hidden corners and places we really shouldn’t miss. Tusitala is a comfortable, well-kept home in Castrocucco di Maratea, close enough to walk to the sea. The clean, comfortable rooms are simply but practically furnished, with a restful view of the greenery. A lovely choice for a calm, authentic stay with what you need to enjoy the area.

A lovely Fox Terrier called Berth takes his butler duties very seriously, while Riccardo welcomes guests with a helpful but discreet manner. The little villa sits in a neat, quiet setting, within walking distance of a tiny vintage market and at least one restaurant. Inside, the apartment is simply and sensibly furnished, very clean, and equipped with every comfort. It looks out onto a beautiful, well-kept Mediterranean garden, and there’s a terrace for dining outside. I’d happily stay again. Highly recommended.

The outdoor patio was a great feature, with a shower and comfortable furniture for meals or relaxing. The apartment is spacious and has every comfort. It’s in a very quiet part of Castrocucco di Maratea, with the beach within walking distance and an affordable mini market nearby. The owner was wonderfully welcoming and helpful, and suggested lots of places and beaches to visit. Highly recommend!
