We felt at home thanks to the warm welcome from Rosalba and her mother. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade cakes, yoghurt from a nearby farm and an exotic fruit salad. Our room was spotless and the bathroom was comfortable, too. What first drew us to Villa Caterina Affittacamere was the roomy terrace and its marvelous view across the blue bay. Sitting there with birdsong from the subtropical garden around the house really did feel like being in a little paradise. The setting in Cersuta, along the Maratea coast, is beautiful and works well if you have your own car. There’s free parking, and Maratea centre is about a 15-minute drive away, with lots of other places to visit nearby. We wished we’d had longer in this gorgeous coastal area. We’d definitely choose Villa Caterina Affittacamere again. Grazie mille!

We spent four nights at this terrific BnB and would happily have stayed longer. Rosa did everything she could to make us comfortable and help us enjoy our time there. This area has lovely scenery, great fish restaurants, and real towns where Italians live. It doesn’t have the dreaded tourist crowds of the Amalfi Coast. Don’t miss it, and Rosa speaks English, which added a lot to our stay.

We only had two days here, and that felt much too short. It’s in a beautiful spot right by the coast, and the hosts are incredibly kind and know the area well. Breakfast was good, with homemade cakes and jams, and they offered to make us a savory one too, but why would you?!
