We spent five days here in the first week of February with our two daughters. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the peaceful setting made it a great place to unwind. Just outside San Vigilio, the farm is near the free parking at Furcia Pass, and we could reach the slopes in a few minutes by car. Our apartment felt cozy and had everything we needed, including comfortable beds and a large bathroom with an excellent shower.

The quiet setting away from the center and the open mountain views made this a restful stay for us and our two dogs. The farm is right on the slopes leading to Kronplatz and has cows and other farmyard animals. You can also buy butter, milk, and jam there, which brought back some forgotten flavors. We came away feeling rejuvenated.

We've been staying at Junghof for more than 25 years, in summer and especially in winter, and we're already booked for winter 2024 with three apartments. The owners are very welcoming, and several couples and families we've travelled with have come back too. The price and quality are a great match. You get quiet on Furkel Pass, away from the village, while San Vigilio is only a few minutes away by car. For skiing, the parking by the middle or starting station of the Ruis cable car is about three minutes away, with plenty of space and no charge at present. A heated room for skis and boots is available, and in winter there's a bread delivery service and fresh eggs from the hotel's own organic farm for a small extra charge. Both are well worth it. Guests can also get discounts on ski equipment rental at the shop on the Kronplatz summit, which is part of Junghof. It has a wide selection of good equipment and a ski service station with professional, modern service at reasonable prices. The lovely view of the Dolomites is a bonus in itself.

Walks, good food, and some much-needed rest made our week away with the family a sensational experience. I'd recommend this farmhouse to an active family looking for adventure.
