We had a superb ski week at Hotel Monte Paraccia. The room was large, clean, had a balcony, and was excellent with its en suite. The restaurant served great food with lovely views over the resort, and the roomy, comfortable bar was excellent too. Karin and Alex took great care of us as hosts. The hotel’s locker room at the lift was a game changer. We could leave our gear there instead of hauling it back and forth. The lift is a 10-minute walk, or there’s a bus stop outside the hotel. There’s also an excellent basement sauna with everything you’d want. One day Karin took us to Cortina for ski guiding. The skiing and views were incredible, and we just followed her down a variety of mainly red runs. Another day, Alex drove us up the valley to catch a snow cat for a snowshoe hike. It took us up the mountain to a hotel restaurant where we had lunch. Alex provided the snowshoes, and we had a great walk in a quiet, beautiful natural setting. On the way back we picked up a toboggan from the hotel and had a fun ride down the mountain. I can’t recommend Karin, Alex, and the hotel highly enough.

We had a great two-night stay, with everything going well. The dinner was especially amazing, those thin homemade tagliatelle and lamb were worth 5 stars. Matteo and the staff were helpful, and the service was very good.

The hotel sits on the edge of the village, and I’d certainly return. Alex and Karin were lovely hosts who went out of their way to make my visit special, and the staff were excellent. Great food too.

The owners made us feel so welcome, and the rooms were comfortable. We had a memorable stay over New Year’s Eve and enjoyed the nice food served every night.
