The room was comfortable, the location beautiful, and the service good.

The food was excellent, and the crystal-clear sea was lovely. This clean, well-run resort has a family feel and pays attention to what guests need. It’s conveniently close to the center and within walking distance of the beach. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff were warm and helpful, and the bungalows felt clean and comfortable. It’s a peaceful resort in a handy spot, just a few steps from the pedestrian area and its lido. The bathroom is on the small side, so we ended up using the outdoor shower. I’d tweak the menu for summer, though the fresh ingredients, cooked to order, help make up for it.

What stood out most was how welcoming the staff were. They paid attention and did what they could to meet our needs. Cala Blanca was a surprise, and I enjoyed our stay, though a few changes could make it much better. The resort is made up of a handful of little houses, more like a small community than the resorts we’re used to. The value for money was fine, but the village is reached by a steep climb, which was difficult with a wheelchair. We’d asked in advance about access for someone with mobility issues. Playa El Flamingo is beautiful, and there are evening parties there. The food was decently cooked, and breakfast was excellent, although there was no savory choice. The main menu felt more suited to autumn, with things like pasta and potatoes and minestrone. On holiday I’d hoped for tastier, more seasonal meals. Portions were small, and we often left the table a little hungry. There was no second helping or anything special, and not even a small buffet or a welcome or farewell cake. A more varied menu would help. The beach is not quite as close to the sea as we’d been told, but it was acceptable. Our room was cramped, as expected, and the lighting was so dim we could barely see. The single bed mattress was noisy and very uncomfortable. A hook in the bathroom for towels or robes would be useful. The village was practically deserted at night, so some kind of event or party would have been nice.

The two-person rooms have a very small bathroom, and the shower is barely adequate. The setting is a real highlight, with lovely views over the sea at Marina di Camerota. If you eat at the resort, the food is simple and tasty.
