Agriturismo Simonello

The outdoor furniture was filthy with bird droppings and wasn't cleaned once during my eight-day stay. We booked a room with a balcony, but were given one with only a window. In summer, that meant we couldn't hang beach towels or even a swimsuit out to dry. Breakfast was apple and fig jam, milk, and coffee with an indefinable taste, so we ended up eating elsewhere. I paid €76 for a double room, plus €3 per couple for air conditioning, which felt high for what was provided. And who gave this place a 9 in the reviews? It seems to me the owner is just trying to lure customers. It's a shame tourists can be ripped off like this in beautiful Calabria, where work is already scarce.

The owner was incredibly kind, and the rooms were clean and serviced daily. It's a lovely place, surrounded by nature and very peaceful. Great location. I highly recommend it!

At this agriturismo, the rooms are simple but clean, and the location makes it easy to get to the sea and the picturesque villages of Locride. I spent a few days here and was pleasantly surprised. Olive and citrus groves surround the property, making it a relaxing place to enjoy Calabria's fragrant, authentic nature. The owner was friendly and welcoming, and made me feel at home. I highly recommend it.

My son cried so hard when he realized we had to leave, and we'll be back next spring! The place was excellent, from breakfast to dinner, and so kind and helpful. The cleanliness was excellent too: after my son spilled water on the floor, I mopped it up and the cloth came away white. Also, our car had a small problem, and the lady offered to help until it was all sorted.
