The owners were so hospitable, and the place has a lovely Italian charm. It’s a sweet, characterful hotel that’s a hundred years old, in a perfect location just four minutes from the ocean.

The garden was nicely maintained, well equipped, and had lots of shade. The room, bathroom, and shower were all very basic, though the staff were polite and friendly. Parking inside costs seven euros, and your car can get covered in resin, leaves, and seeds that are difficult to wash off. There’s free parking 30 metres away, so I wouldn’t park inside. Apart from that, everything was fine.

The breakfast was very good and had plenty of variety, and the owners were attentive and helpful. The rest of the staff were kind and friendly too. We keep coming back to Albergo Grande Italia for weekends with friends in Marina di Pietrasanta. It’s centrally located, close to the beach and town conveniences, but still quiet and relaxing. The building has a charming, family-run country house feel.
