The apartments are a good size, and the ones on the top floor have a lovely sea view. The beach is a seven-minute walk away. But service was pretty much absent: they gave us incorrect codes and directions, and there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms. When we asked about it, they told us to hang around reception. Bathroom maintenance was another problem. The boiler wasn’t up to the job, so after one shower we had to wait at least 45 minutes before the next. The flush in the second bathroom didn’t work either. By then I’d stopped reporting the issues.

There’s a lot to enjoy here, from the pool, bar and live music to the basketball court. The private parking is inside a gated community, and the short walk to the beach and marina waterfront brings you to plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping stalls. The evenings there are especially magical. Our apartment gave us plenty of independence, with excellent air conditioning, clean and well-equipped sleeping areas, a private sun terrace and outdoor cooking facilities. Enjoy!

The room was huge, spacious, cool and really great. There aren’t any truly amazing restaurants close by, though, and most people in Marina di Ragusa don’t speak English, or don’t want to.

The pool was a little chilly when we were there in late April or early May. The apartment was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly. We got in touch through WhatsApp, and when a small problem came up, they sorted it quickly. It’s a short walk to both the village centre and the beach.
