We were on the second floor of a medium-sized building, with parking out back. The apartment has four or five rooms, each with its own bathroom, plus a shared dining room. It's on the main road towards the center, around a 10-15 minute walk, and close to large wineries. Arcangelo was a very precise, no-nonsense host, and brought out typical Italian sweet breakfasts. There could be noise around the bathroom area. During our stay, sea air carried in a horrible algae-cleaning sewer smell. Nobody warned us, so we closed the windows to sleep, but then we couldn't sleep.

Isabella made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was a real treat. The four rooms in the spacious apartment were clean and well cared for, and there was plenty of room for us. Staying centrally also made it easy to get out and explore Marsala. We'd happily stay at Isabella's apartments again.

The breakfast at B&B Sbarco dei 1000 was the best Sicilian one we had, with lots of sweet pastries filled with ricotta or pistachio cream. Definitely tempting for the waistline! Arcangelo also had plenty of useful suggestions for places to see around the area and elsewhere in Sicily, including food, culture, and scenery. Our room was lovely, and the balcony got sun all day, so it was a great place to sit. We'd highly recommend staying here.

Arcangelo was thoughtful and kind, and kept trying to help with whatever we needed. We had a great two-night stay. The rooms were comfortable and tidy, and this was the best B&B I've stayed at in Italy. 👍
