The pool was a letdown: just four loungers, no umbrella, shower, or bathroom, and the water was so dirty that big clumps of hair were visible on the bottom. We ended up spending the afternoon in the room. There was dirt on the floor, but we couldn't find a shovel, and the toilet paper roll was already half used. There were three of us, yet only two towels, two glasses, and two coffee capsules had been provided. The sofa bed had no sheets either, though those were brought later. We'd arrived around 1:40 PM, a little before the 2:00 PM check-in time, after being told an early arrival was fine. When we asked about the schedule, we were told to leave the loft by 10 the next morning, which was okay. But when we asked whether we could use the pool after checking out, the man said no because other guests were coming. I said other properties usually let guests stay by the pool, and he snapped, “GO AWAY...YOU'RE ATTACKING ME!” We decided it was best to avoid further discussion. I can't find anything good to say about the property or the person who greeted us. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't return.

The outdoor space was great for having lunch or dinner, and the pool was a real bonus. The loft was spotless, comfortable, air-conditioned, and had everything we needed. It's also very close to the Genna salt mines. Francesco was kind, courteous, and helpful. A lovely base for a future holiday in Marsala.

The apartment is spacious and has greenery all around it, with a handy pool too. It's a good spot, just a few kilometers from central Marsala. A little extra thought, like leaving guests a bottle of water, would be appreciated.

We had a separate, newly furnished loft with a small terrace. It was clean, tasteful, and comfortable, including the air conditioning. There's parking indoors, and the salt flats and city center are only a few kilometers away. Francesco was a perfect host. I highly recommend it, and wish we'd stayed longer.

Francesco made us feel welcome right away, with a smile, a relaxed attitude, and a delicious freshly baked tart. He was always available for questions and gave us ideas for things to do each day. He knows the area well, so take his advice. The house is in a peaceful spot, and it stays cool enough at night even on the hottest days. There's plenty of parking, a garden, and a lovely terrace where we could relax while the kids played. It's about a 10-minute drive to the town center, and convenient for the Egadi Islands ferry terminals, wineries, and beautiful beaches. The beaches are child-friendly; at places like San Teodoro, the water can be ankle-deep for hundreds of meters. We highly recommend this holiday home and hope to return soon.
