The room was small, though staying in a converted nun cell is part of what makes it fun. The daily European breakfast was just right, and the price was good. This convent in Marsala has been restored impressively while keeping its original character, which I say as a professor of cultural heritage. It’s central but away from the main drag, with room to breathe and reflect, and a beautiful monastery across the street. The staff were very supportive and helpful to me and my travel companion as we tried to pull off a grand adventure. I think it’s the best place to stay in Marsala, with an authentic, calm, historic feel. Thanks to the staff for their kindness and a great stay.

Rebecca was so warm and welcoming, and made us feel right at home with her lovely drinks. The bar was a great place to begin and finish our evenings. The hotel is clean and beautiful, good value, with an old world charm and elegant modern touches.

We slept well on a great mattress, and the staff were pleasant. The restored old building is beautiful, generally quiet, and serves a perfect breakfast. But the room got far too hot from the sun and felt stuffy, even in mid November. The only way to cool it was to open the doors onto the balcony shared by most rooms and the lower level, which didn’t feel secure. If the rooms were modernized so they could be cooled, I’d return.

The patio’s lovely for an afternoon coffee. This place has a cozy, warm feel, with a vintage charm, and everything is in perfect condition. It was spotless, and the staff made our stay special by leaving us a bottle of wine on arrival and arranging a fantastic wine tasting. Highly recommend it for an authentic stay in Marsala.
