La Casa Della Zia Armenia

I couldn't find another place to stay, so we stuck it out, even though the room made things tough for my partner and me. After six months in the desert I thought I'd be ready for anything, but this was still a lot. The room was big, though apparently cleaned in just ten minutes. There was dust everywhere, a strong air freshener smell, and a filthy carpet. Pigeon feathers covered the floor, and the balcony was full of droppings, so I assume pigeons slept there. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were so hard they felt like bricks, with dirty pillowcases. The bathroom was even less clean than the room, and its lamp barely lit the place. I showered in the bathtub wearing slippers and tried to use the restaurant bathrooms whenever possible. Payment was cash at the property, and of course I got no receipt.

The central location was the sole good thing about this stay. There was no elevator, bad smells at the building entrance, and noise that made sleeping very difficult. Hair and ants were everywhere, and the host said the mattresses and pillows were antique to match the house's style. Absolutely unhygienic. I wouldn't recommend it.

After my partner posted a negative review, the host sent her a private message that mocked her, dressed up in a very polite and delicate tone. The message left us surprised by the rudeness and disregard for basic hospitality. The property's hygiene was also despicable and stinking. The apartment is elegant and very centrally located, making it convenient to get around the city. But hygiene was poor. Carpets cover the floors and don't provide adequate cleanliness in these conditions, and without daily cleaning the place develops a musty, unpleasant smell. Many of the furnishings also don't work very well.
