La Noria

We were a family of four, with our two daughters, staying at "La Noria" from April 15th to 20th. One of the things we loved most was the outdoor space: a big veranda and lovely garden where we picked the last oranges of the season and plenty of fresh lemons. We also got to see the old "noria," the animal-powered well device that gave the house its name. The house itself is a carefully renovated old farmhouse that belonged to Valentina's grandfather. It keeps its rustic, authentic feel, while offering generous space, maybe more than our family needed. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms with large showers. The beds were roomy and very comfortable, the shutters made the rooms completely dark, and the soundproofing helped us rest well. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. We appreciated the small arrival kit with oil, salt, sugar, coffee, and bottled water. There’s private parking too, though getting in takes a little care when maneuvering. Ninella, Valentina's mother, was wonderfully welcoming and helpful. It’s a very well cared for home, and it played a big part in making our Sicilian holiday such a happy success. I hope future guests value and respect this little gem.
