Prokite Alby Rondina Resort

Back for a second week in Sicily, I booked more sessions with Guilia to work on riding upwind. She was glad to see me again and helped me smooth out my technique, always calm, patient, and experienced. I learned a lot and had fun with the lessons. Thanks for everything.

I was comfortable at Prokite Alby Rondina from my first day. The school has a professional but relaxed feel, and I’d recommend it to anyone learning or looking to improve.

Our villa was well equipped and just a few steps from the water, so heading out to kite was easy. There’s a big grassy launch and landing area that helps protect the kites, plus places to sit and watch people ride or take a break. The team were lovely and always ready to help. The water was flat and the atmosphere was good. The school offers lessons for all levels in easy conditions, along with rentals, wing lessons, and paddle boarding. Thanks to the Pro kite Alby Rondina team for such a fun vacation. You guys rock!

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a small garden area out front where I could dry my swimming shorts and kite gear. Daily cleaning was to a high standard, the room was well maintained, and the Wi-Fi worked well. I could hear showers running and toilets flushing through the walls more than I expected, though it wasn’t loud and I got used to it. A shelf in the bathroom would have been useful. Breakfast was worth having, with a nice selection, well presented, and a relaxing place to eat. The staff, from reception to cleaners and breakfast team, were all friendly and welcoming. For a beginner, Lo Stagnone was easily the best of the four kite destinations I’ve visited, after Tarifa, El Gouna, and El Medano. Flat water, decent wind, usually 13-16 knots, and very good tuition helped me make big strides. Anna taught me, and I can’t thank her enough. She was professional, patient, encouraging, and caring, and really wanted to see me progress. The area has a rustic rural charm. You can manage without a car and find what you need and places to eat or spend the evening within walking distance. Still, I’d say a car is handy for exploring nearby sights, usually no more than 45 minutes away, and for trying more restaurants further afield. I was very happy with the resort and would stay and kite here again, with Anna as my instructor too. A brilliant holiday.
