Resort Santa Maria

The food was somewhere between bad and good, but the cold reception spoiled things from the start. The woman at the front desk stayed focused on her phone and wouldn’t even look me in the eye. She could use some hospitality lessons.

Dear Christina, Georgia and Marie-Lou, This will be our sixth year in a row here, and we keep coming back for plenty of reasons. The team is a big part of that. Thank you, Christina, Georgia and Marie-Lou, and everyone else. You’re consistently helpful and welcoming, and seeing familiar faces year after year makes each visit easy and enjoyable. It’s clear you work hard to keep everything running smoothly. We also really like the setting. The views over the lagoon and surrounding landscape are a pleasure, and the atmosphere is calm. The pool is clean and inviting, the showers are well kept, and being able to walk straight to the kitespot is incredibly convenient. After a day kiting, it’s nice to come back to a modern, well-maintained apartment with the amenities we need. Resort Santa Maria has been a comfortable, dependable stay for us, so we’ll likely return at Pentecost 2026. See you on the water, Felix

The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed, and the on-site restaurant turned out to be surprisingly good. There are also a few nice places to eat within walking distance, so there’s some variety. We had wind every day for kitesurfing, with plenty of other kite surfers around but enough room for everyone. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we enjoyed the time both on and off the water. I’m looking forward to coming back next year to kitesurf again and explore more of the area.

The huge terrace and the fresh, tasty calamari and tiramisu were standouts. It’s right by the shore at the kiteboarding spot, and the food was delicious. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful, which you don’t come across often in the area.
