Aafke is attentive to every need and makes delicious breakfasts. The house has a timeless feel, with original terracotta floors and windows looking out either to the old medieval village or over the Umbrian countryside. It’s a beautiful historic country home. A few kilometers south of Perugia, the location is handy for reaching northern Lazio or, if you like, the Tuscan countryside around Siena.

We were only there for one night after a wedding. The rooms were basic but clean, with roomy private bathrooms. Breakfast the next morning was good, and the owner was kind and helpful.

It was quiet, and the room and bathroom were both spacious and clean. The owner was very nice and friendly, and breakfast was good.
