La Rosa dei Trulli B&B

This comfortable, homey place is in a trulli building typical of the area, just outside Alberobello. It isn't luxurious, but it's a beautiful property with olive trees and terraces, and the owners are friendly. It sleeps six and has everything needed for cooking and dining, which we made good use of. There's also a washing machine on site.

We had such a fun time sleeping in a trullo, and the photos don't do the place justice. The hosts were wonderful and so helpful: they went into town to get a convertor for my American devices, brought fresh pastries to our door in the morning, and let my daughter see the two-day-old kittens.

The hosts made us feel right at home at "La Rosa dei Trulli". I can only say positive things about this amazing place. It's an easy five-minute drive to the center of Alberobello. Our "Trullo" was spotless and stocked with pretty much everything: water, milk, orange juice, spices, zwieback, jam, cookies, and even pasta with tomato sauce. There were all the kitchen spices we needed, shampoo in the bathroom, a washing machine and dishwasher with supplies, books, family games like chess, and even a night light for anyone afraid of the dark. In the morning, the hosts brought fresh croissants and left them in a chest by the front door. I can only recommend this place!

The setting felt almost like a fairytale, and it’s really well placed for visiting Alberobello. I loved the place, though breakfast wasn’t enough for me. My wife was happy with it, so I still gave it five stars.
